Bilateral PAP flap Breast reconstruction

Triple negarive left breast cancer in patient with BRCA2 mutation.

This 26-year-old girl came for a consultation with a triple negative breast cancer and BRCA2 mutation, thus requiring a bilateral skin sparing mastectomy and reconstruction. The patient categorically refused the use of breast implants and sought a more natural result. Not having tissue in the abdomen the only solution seemed to me to be a bilateral PAP flap taking the tissue from inside the thighs, despite the size of her breasts was not excessive, even the availability of tissue inside her thighs was modest.

The weight of the mastectomy was 236 gr dx and 232 sx. The weight of the flap 228 on the right and 225 on the left, a good match. The scars of the donation site perfectly hidden in the groin. This patient is now a dear friend, she designed the logo for this site. He defeated the cancer, went through the journey of breast reconstruction and is now happy with her boyfriend.
